ChatGPT is a premium AI model, available for AI Dungeon players at play.aidungeon.com.
ChatGPT is one of the best models we’ve used in AI Dungeon, and we want all of our players to experience its improvements. Typically, only subscribers can access and use ChatGPT. Now, we are giving non-subscribers a limited number of free ChatGPT actions to use during gameplay.
What does this mean?
Players who don’t have an active AI Dungeon subscription will automatically receive a number of daily free ChatGPT actions. When you start a new Adventure from play.aidungeon.com, you should see a green lightning bolt and number at the top of your gameplay screen:
Check your settings through the gear icon in the top right corner of the game screen to make sure ChatGPT is selected under the AI Models tab of the Gameplay section. This area also contains an actions indicator that shows how many remaining ChatGPT actions are left:
Once ChatGPT is selected, you can start playing! The actions indicator should decrease by one for every turn you take. This includes using the Continue and Retry buttons. Using Erase will not take away an action, but it won’t add one back either, so be thoughtful about your gameplay.
